Why Mergers And Acquisitions Won't Happen
We begin with Pelorus Equity Group President Rob Sechrist who shares why mergers and acquisition will not happen this year in the Cannabis industry, and why the public equity market will remain volatile.
Rob also outlines how his firm built out a data proprietary tool where they were the first to know where every license Cannabis operator in the country was located, who owned them, what type of licenses, where theyβre physically situated, who owns the real estate, the price per pound in that region, the power costs, and 2 years of data points where they can now look for trends.
By achieving all of this, it has enabled them to grow their lending assets by more than 50% in the past year to almost $400,000,000. Their goal for 2023 is to grow to over $1,000,000,000 in lending assets, which then provides 15% annual returns within their equity fund which also includes monthly distributions.
