TSA approves cannabis-containing epilepsy drug for flights
Transportation Security Administration will now permit a pediatric epilepsy drug containing cannabis on flights, according to the agency’s guidelines. Cannabis Is Becoming A Huge Job Creator
The industry added more than 64,000 jobs last year — a 44% increase — and is expected to create another 20,000 jobs this year in California and Florida alone according to a study by Leafly. Leafly’s 2019 Cannabis Jobs Count shows cannabis directly employs more than 211,000 full-time workers in the U.S. Jobs like, Professional and technical workers, for example, accountants, lab workers, marketers and tax experts, make up more than half of the new workforce. Which leads to a median annual salary of $58,511, almost 11% higher than the overall U.S. median. Leafly says legal cannabis sales increased 34% nationwide in 2018, to total $10.8 billion. Cannabis is projected to hit a job-creation rate of 110% within three years from 2017 to 2020. Canada actually had to import workers to fill jobs last year. Cannabis spending is expected to grow globally to $17 billion in 2019, and projected to reach $31.6 billion in 2022.

Cannabis Edibles For Seniors
Older adults generally have a lower tolerance for THC than the market is used to and this creates a demand for low-dose products. Older adults choose cannabis-infused edibles such as gummies or other confections products because they are discreet, comfortable to administrate and in many cases the dose can be easy to control. The laws governing what is a standard dose of THC for an edible and vary from state to state.
o In, for example, the definition of one edible dose is 10 mg.
o While in Oregon, edibles must be divisible into 5 mg a serving.
o IFY- 5 mg. of THC is considered a low dose for an edible, but too high for seniors
If some seniors want psychoactivity effect, 2.5 mg. of THC or under can be a good place to start. Compared to smoking cannabis, where the effects are felt almost immediately, the effect from eating cannabis takes much longer – sometimes up to 2 hours. But, when it hits, the effect takes longer than smoking.
